New oil rig explosion in Gulf of Mexico - video

Just as the Deepwater Horizon oil spill as worked its way out of the news, a new explosion has taken place. This one about 200 miles from the location of the BP spill.
The Sun reported, "The fireball, which all 13 platform workers fled by diving into the sea, left a spreading mile-long slick.
"The crew donned emergency survival suits and were winched to safety by helicopter - miraculously all but one unhurt."
The rig, operated by an independent Houston company, Mariner Energy, "said that the fire was not caused by a “blowout” of petroleum following pressure control failure, as per the BP disaster," according to the National Business Review.

The Christian Science Monitor said, "Company officials said in a statement Thursday morning that the incident does not appear to have resulted in an oil leak. The Associated Press, however, has reported that the Coast Guard says there is a mile long, 100 foot-wide oil sheen near the platform."
In light of the recent explosion that took place at Deepwater Horizon, the thirteen men who were present at today's explosion should be thankful that they survived. Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble."
